I just finished working on a comic for the next issue of Smoke Signal, and realized I never posted the comic from my last entry in that free all-comics newspaper. This is the story of Connie Hawkins, a basketball almost-was who I read about in Loose Balls, a great oral history of the short-lived American Basketball Association. There's also a chapter about him in The Undisputed Guide to Basketball History, the terrific book by the FreeDarko boys.
