5 Days, 5 Posts. Day Five: Harpo!

Counting down to the Backyard Bazaar at In God We Trust tomorrow, I've been posting something every day this week. At the Bazaar, there will be free beer, affordable food, and great vendors. I'll be doing live portraits and selling doodles and a couple of prints. Get something for your dad, like an on-the-spot custom made card.

Here's today's drawing, which you can see in person tomorrow:

5 Days, 5 Posts. Day One: Yoda

For the next 5 days, starting today, I'll post a drawing a day so we can all get excited about this year's first In God We Trust Summer Backyard Bazaar in Greenpoint. There will be free beer, cheap food, and a select group of great vendors. I'll be there selling doodles, artwork, prints, and a special Godard-themed tote bag. I'll also be taking commissions, and doing live drawings on the spot for you to take home or send your dad for Father's Day. (Get him a little portrait of his favorite baseball player or political commentator.)

Custom Book Covers

Timeout put my custom book covers for This Side of Paradise by Fitzgerald, Bullet Park by Cheever, and Pigeon Feathers by Updike in their Holiday Gift Guide Slideshow. Their pic is better than any of mine so check it out.

Live Portraits

This is what I did on Saturday. Forgot to post about it beforehand. It was fun.

One girl who had seen the flyer came ready with a picture of Phil Spector wearing the hat that Aretha Franklin wore to the inauguration and had me draw it:

Next weekend I'll be at the Greenpoint Craftastic Spectacular. I will draw anything you want.

Live Portraits Tonight

Tonight I'll be at In God We Trust's Greenpoint location at 70 Greenpoint Ave for this party, drawing people or drawing whatever people with 20 bucks want me to draw. I'm having cards printed as I write this to give out. I'm getting 4 different ones made. Here's one of them:

Come tonight and collect all four PGCs (Promotional Gelgud Cards)! And get your portrait drawn! Or just come to party! There is also going to be swag I think and straight razor shaves and Free Tattos. And also free tequila. Why did I say that last?
