Nathan Gelgud by Jason Polan
Got drawn on one of my favorite blogs by one of my favorite artists. Check it out (scroll down).
Blazer Drawings in PDX
I did 30 drawings of Portland Trail Blazers (and one Blazers-related personality) throughout history for this show at Compound in Portland. Some have sold, many are for sale.
You can see all of the drawings and the other works in the show on curator Nate Tabor's blog.
Compound is selling a print for $20 of some members of the infamous Jail Blazer team of the early Zeroes. Buy it here.

Custom Book Covers
Timeout put my custom book covers for This Side of Paradise by Fitzgerald, Bullet Park by Cheever, and Pigeon Feathers by Updike in their Holiday Gift Guide Slideshow. Their pic is better than any of mine so check it out.

Live Portraits
This is what I did on Saturday. Forgot to post about it beforehand. It was fun.

One girl who had seen the flyer came ready with a picture of Phil Spector wearing the hat that Aretha Franklin wore to the inauguration and had me draw it:

AG & GC
This is all Rapidograph. It's hard to figure out where to stop detailing when
I use them. I think this works though.

Used my typical brush pen for most of this, then added some detail and
shading with the Rapidograph. I think it came out pretty good.

In God We Trust has author portraits, drawings of fashion designers, and custom book covers at their Greenpoint, Williamsburg, and Manhattan locations. You can buy them there, you can commission work through the store, or you can just look at the drawings and then buy some tights or a winter coat or something. Location links below.
